Sustainable Menstrual Hygiene
Empowering Women, Protecting the Planet
At Sakkhi, we believe menstrual health is a right, not a privilege. Our mission is to promote sustainable menstrual hygiene practices that empower women while protecting the environment. Through education, access, and innovation, we aim to break taboos, reduce waste, and support healthier cycles—both personal and ecological.
Why Sustainable Menstrual Hygiene Matters
Every year, millions of non-biodegradable sanitary pads and tampons are discarded, clogging landfills and harming our ecosystem. On average, a woman uses over 11,000 disposable products in her lifetime—most of which are plastic-based and take hundreds of years to decompose.
Impact
We have distributed 5000 menstrual cups and 50,000 sustainable pads, created awareness for 20,000 girls

What We Do
1 Million Girls. One Sustainable Choice.
Workshops & School Programs: Awareness sessions for girls, parents, and teachers on menstrual health, myths, and eco-friendly options.
Community Outreach: We distribute sustainable kits in underprivileged communities and train women to make their own pads.
Corporate Awareness Drives: Partnering with workplaces to promote menstrual equity and sustainable practices.
Mentor Support & Helpline: A safe space for menstrual queries, health concerns, and product usage guidance.
